That rare sight of sunshine was much in evidence this week for Scott and Mary's visit, making the views from Mottarone's summit truly spectacular, and the mountain walks heavenly. The local meteo experts predict a severe winter so we'd better get on with the house maintenance particularly the re varnishing of timbers, on all the doors and shutters, together with all the sundry flower boxes ...a mammoth task.
