Per molti dei nostri clienti, La Casa Del Giardiniere è diventato quasi come a casa, pieno di amicizie caldo e sincero e tanti memorie felici.
L'anno scorso abbiamo avuto il piacere di ospitare oltre 24 nazionalità! Che cosa molto divertente che abbiamo avuto, con tanti le personalità meravigliosi.
An Autumn fanfare. Fruits of the forests, the smell of fresh bread in the oven, and pumpkin soup bubbling on the stove.

Another stunning Autumn day as the forests colours are highlighted by the bright morning sunlight. Good examples of the "Acers" (maple family) with blood reds and wonderful golds. The photo's taken on the drive up to the village of Gignese.

In need of sympathetic restoration. A challenge too far maybe? But we can dream. I pass this derelict farm house almost daily on my walk with Pepper. It nestles in magnificent woodland, and borders the lush fairways of the Golf Club Iles des Borromées. It's so sad to see this once proud structure with it's many happy memories deteriorating unloved and neglected. And yet all around one see's new dwellings under construction. What a senseless waste in these times of austerity!
Da ristrutturare simpatico. Una sfida troppo forse? Ma possiamo sognare. Passo questa casa colonica abbandonata quasi ogni giorno sul mio cammino con pepe. Si annida in un magnifico bosco, e confina con i fairways lussureggiante dei Golf Club des Iles Borromées. E 'così triste vedere questa struttura una volta fiero con i suoi molti ricordi felici di deterioramento non amato e trascurato. Eppure tutto circa un nuove abitazioni a vedere in costruzione. Che insensato spreco in questi tempi di austerità!

Escaping London for some late Alpine air and sunshine. Today's route commences in the hilltop village of Alpino, up to the summit of Mottarone 1500 mt, and the a steep walk down the other side to Lake Orta. About 5 hours walking to cover the 20 k distance,with breathtaking views .

Scappando da Londra per un po 'di aria di montagna in ritardo e il sole. Fond farewell's to Alan and Elaine from New York state. Despite the winter chills,congestion, high temperatures and annoying coughs,we think they enjoyed their stay. Hopefully we'll have sunshine on order for their return.

Winter arrived in the high mountains last night and by contrast my neighbour is planting his vegetables ready for Spring. His garden overlooks Lake Maggiore and is a source of great envy!

A cold damp day, with a grey heavy laden sky, and yet colour prevails!
The glorious Mirtilli (American blueberry) which has provided us with months of fruit, now puts on it's crimson gown. And the iridescent "Choisya" with it's fabulous golden aura simply never fades. Wow!

Our "Colorado contingent" and their whistle stop tour. Their arrival was blighted by grey skies and jet lag, although thankfully after a good nights sleep and a wholesome breakfast they departed on a bright sunny morning to Alba, taking a detour of Mottarone and a brief glimpse of Lake Orta.
There is an English expression that says " they would have been better to have known". Which literally conveys our loss of not getting to know them better, to have had more time, and to have had the opportunity of showing them this area of outstanding beauty not only around Lake Maggiore, but also the Majesty of the mountains. The Ossola valley and the stunning scenery of Val Formazza, and Alpe Devero. the list is endless..so maybe next time..Safe journeys and see you again soon.
Il nostro "Colorado contingente" e il loro tour fischio fermata. Il loro arrivo è stato rovinata da cielo grigio e il jet lag, anche se per fortuna dopo una buona notte di sonno e una ricca colazione se ne andarono in una mattina di sole luminoso ad Alba, prendere una deviazione di Mottarone e un breve scorcio del lago d'Orta.
C'è un'espressione inglese che dice "che sarebbe stato meglio essere a conoscenza". Che letteralmente trasmette la nostra perdita di non arrivare a conoscerli meglio, di aver avuto più tempo, e di aver avuto l'opportunità di mostrare loro questa zona di straordinaria bellezza, non solo intorno al Lago Maggiore, ma anche la maestosità delle montagne. La valle Ossola e il meraviglioso scenario della Val Formazza, e Alpe Devero. la lista è endless..so forse tragitti prossimo time..Safe e arrivederci a presto.
