The bustling town of Intra, on market day. With the warm October sunshine the chestnuts needed little cooking.La vivace città di Intra, in giornata di mercato. Con il caldo sole di ottobre i castagni avevano bisogno di una piccola cucina.
The bustling town of Intra, on market day. With the warm October sunshine the chestnuts needed little cooking. Taking a coffee in the Piazza Ranzoni , looking out over the lake, with it's mountainous backdrop, gives it a mix of alpine and mediteranean.
The town was once known as the Manchester of the lake, because of it's industrial activities. But today the town has been transformed into a lovely tourist venue, with some excellent shops for both food and clothing, and on Saturdays a well attended market.
La vivace città di Intra, in giornata di mercato. Con il caldo sole di ottobre i castagni avevano bisogno di una piccola cucina. Prendendo un caffè in Piazza Ranzoni, affacciato sul lago, con il suo sfondo montuoso, gli conferisce un mix di alpine e mediterranei.
La città era una volta conosciuta come il Manchester del lago, a causa delle sue attività industriali. Ma oggi la città è stata trasformata in un bel luogo turistico, con alcuni ottimi negozi per cibo e abbigliamento, e il sabato un mercato ben frequentato.
