After a week of almost summer like weather the rain arrived yesterday increasing in intensity to todays torrents. The footpaths that I take the dogs for walks, deep in the forest have become fast flowing rapids. I had to let them off the leads to partake in this spectacular event, it was just like a dogs theme park, with fast flowing water shoots, waterfalls, and rapids. I in just one hour we received over 20 mm of rain, today is expected to be over 130mm. In Italian this amount of water is described as "molto abbondanti" when I came back from my walk wet through to my skin, even with water proofs on, its like I'd been thrown in the lake

I sentieri che porto a spasso per i cani, nel profondo della foresta, sono diventati rapide a flusso rapido. Ho dovuto lasciarli fuori dai guinzaglio per partecipare a questo evento spettacolare, era proprio come un parco a tema per cani, con getti d'acqua che scorrevano veloci, cascate e rapide. In un'ora ho ricevuto più di 20 mm di pioggia, oggi ci si aspetta che superi i 130 mm. In italiano questa quantità di acqua è descritta come "molto abbondanti" quando sono tornato dalla mia pelle bagnata alla mia pelle, anche con le prove dell'acqua, è come se fossi stato gettato nel lago
A wonderful sight of local animals groomed to perfection for todays fair in Nebbiuno,the cows were adorned with garlands of flowers, marigolds and violets. In the next field they roasted chestnuts, all this and a football match. As I approached this hive of activity I watched in horror as if in slow motion a four cars crashed into each other, Careless drivers driving too fast and too close!
It must be this Autumn heat wave that brings the Sunday drivers out. A dangerous phenomena.
Uno spettacolo meraviglioso di animali locali curati alla perfezione per la fiera di oggi a Nebbiuno, le mucche erano adornate con ghirlande di fiori, calendule e viole. Nel campo successivo hanno arrostito castagne, tutto questo e una partita di calcio. Mentre mi avvicinavo a questo alveare di attività, guardavo con orrore come se al rallentatore quattro macchine si schiantassero l'una contro l'altra, piloti incuranti alla guida troppo veloci e troppo vicini!
Deve essere questa ondata di caldo autunnale che porta fuori i piloti della domenica. Un fenomeno pericoloso.
