Wow! What an unbelievable February day. It has been more like August...and yet
tomorrow the prospect is for abundant snow. I have never known the seasons to fluctuate like this.
Because of the uncertainty of the weather I think everyone is taking the opportunity to go to the mountains or the lakes, it really has created a holiday atmosphere.
I decided to take a circular route combining villages and towns that I often drive past without taking special attention. Today’s sunshine made ordinary places look spectacular, and the Lake took on a special grandeur.
First I took the high road to Fosseno, where I passed an astonishing house, with cascading hedges of heathers, contrasting with exotic Mediterranean palms, astonishing at that altitude and exposed to all the elements!
I then took a coffee opposite the church in Nebbiuno, and was pleasantly surprised with the architecture and the imposing position.,
Next I took the twisting narrow road towards Lesa again with fabulous views even in winter, arriving on the shores of Lake Maggiore in  Lesa 's harbour and all it's pretty yachts, and again another stunning newly restored Church.
I have driven around this area for almost 10 years and never fail to stop and stare and take a photograph...just like a newly arrived tourist..
After departing Lesa, I stayed a while in Belgirate, a charming little town always full of vitality. the road along the lake is called Via Mazzini...take your time, drive slowly, better still park the car, and have a closer look round and just marvel at some of the superb period houses, old and new, small and gigantic, but all very individual.
Even the post office, the council buildings are imposing structures, all beautifully maintained...
With time passing so quickly I departed towards Stresa, unable to resist a photograph of Isola Bella, and the backdrop of majestic mountains, and the then the drive home...and just a few more photo's around Binda.  a.great afternoon.
The only disappointment was watching Italy on satellite TV, they lost to France in the Five Nations Rugby tournament, every year Italy improves significantly, but still allow fundamental errors to deny them victory ..It's just so frustrating!

E 'stato più come agosto ... e ancoraDomani la prospettiva è per la neve abbondante . Non ho mai conosciuto le stagioni a fluttuare come questo.A causa dell'incertezza del tempo penso che ognuno sta prendendo la possibilità di andare in montagna o ai laghi , in realtà ha creato una atmosfera di vacanza .Ho deciso di prendere una strada circolare che unisce i villaggi e le città che spesso oltrepassare senza prendere una particolare attenzione . Il sole di oggi ha reso posti ordinari aspetto spettacolare , e il lago assume una grandiosità speciale .Per prima cosa ho preso la strada per Fosseno , dove ho passato una casa stupefacente , con cascata siepi di erica , in contrasto con esotiche palme mediterranee , sorprendenti a quella quota ed esposti a tutti gli elementi !Allora ho preso un caffè di fronte alla chiesa di Nebbiuno , e sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso con l'architettura e la posizione imponente . ,Poi ho preso la strada stretta torsione verso Lesa di nuovo con una vista favolosa anche in inverno , arrivando sulle rive del Lago Maggiore, nel porto di Lesa s ' e tutto è abbastanza yacht, e di nuovo un'altra splendida chiesa recentemente restaurata .Ho guidato in questa zona per quasi 10 anni e non mancano mai di fermarsi e guardare e scattare una fotografia ... proprio come un turista appena arrivato ..Dopo la partenza Lesa , sono rimasto un po 'in Belgirate , una ridente cittadina sempre piena di vitalità . la strada che costeggia il lago si chiama Via Mazzini ... prendere il vostro tempo , guidare lentamente , meglio ancora parcheggiare l'auto , e hanno un più stretto giro aspetto solo ammirare alcune delle splendide case d'epoca , vecchi e nuovi , piccoli e giganteschi , ma tutto molto individuale .Anche l'ufficio postale , gli edifici comunali sono imponenti strutture , tutte splendidamente curati ...Con il tempo passa così in fretta partii verso Stresa , in grado di resistere a una fotografia di Isola Bella , e lo sfondo delle maestose montagne , e il poi il ritorno a casa ... e pochi più foto del giro Binda . a.great pomeriggio.L'unica delusione stava guardando Italia sulla TV satellitare , hanno perso in Francia nel torneo Cinque Nazioni di Rugby , ogni anno, l'Italia migliora in modo significativo , ma comunque consentono errori fondamentali di negare loro la vittoria .. E 'solo così frustrante !
