Winter arrives early, but maybe short lived?
There is an Italian saying that roughly translates to "when the snow falls on trees still laden in leaf, then winter will not be lasting but brief".
Time will tell. All I know is the snow that came last night was heavy and moisture laden,bending and breaking all in it's path.The tender limbs of nurtured shrubs left mangled and distraught, even the once proud conifer the 'golden crest' lay horizontal on the lawn stretched and strained almost to breaking, it's roots hauled and heaved some 45°.
The heavy sky's are lifting now, and a welcome respite too. We've been shovelling snow since day break and our every joint says phew!... poetic or what?
..Better get inside 'pronto' for some warmth and sustenance and lay this evenings fire,for those glowing embers are truly 'heaven sent'. reinforcing our spirits when winters chill comes knocking at the door.
Inverno arriva presto, ma forse di breve durata?
C'è un proverbio italiano che traduce approssimativamente "quando la neve cade su alberi ancora carichi di foglie, poi l'inverno non sarà duratura ma breve".
Il tempo ci dirà. Tutto quello che so è la neve che è venuto ieri sera era pesante e carica di umidità, piegare e rompere tutto in esso è risultante dallo scavo tenere membra del nutrito arbusti sinistra maciullata e sconvolta, anche la conifera tempo orgogliosa la 'golden crest' giaceva orizzontale sul prato allungato e teso quasi a rompere, le sue radici e la trascinarono sollevarono circa 45 °.
Il cielo pesante di sollevamento sono ora, e un piacevole ristoro anche. Siamo stati spalare la neve da giorni di vacanza e ogni nostra joint dice uff! ... poetico o cosa?
.. Meglio arrivare dentro 'pronto' per un po 'di calore e di sostentamento e laici questa sera il fuoco, per quei tizzoni ardenti sono veramente' il cielo ha inviato '. rafforzare i nostri spiriti, quando gli inverni freddo bussa alla porta.
