How green is our valley, and that's before the much needed rain. A very busy afternoon preparing for the coming weeks of slightly colder but certainly wetter weather. All the foliage has had a trim in anticipation of rapid growth, especially the pyracanthus hedges, a delicate cut because the spring clusters of white flowers are just about to explode!
Quanto è verde la nostra valle, ed è prima della tanto necessaria pioggia. Un pomeriggio molto intenso che si prepara alle prossime settimane di tempo leggermente più freddo ma sicuramente più umido. Tutto il fogliame ha avuto un taglio in previsione di una rapida crescita, in particolare le siepi di pyracantus, un taglio delicato perché i grappoli primaverili di fiori bianchi stanno per esplodere!
Stunning views return to La Casa del Giardiniere. After months of "lockdown silence" today brought manic activity with the felling of large trees opposite our Bed and Breakfast. A big thank you to our neighbour for his courtesy and consideration. Once again we can see the peak of Mottarone, and the distant mountains looking towards the Ossola valley. As an extra special reward we can now see Stropino's church and even tell the time! I think tomorrow the silence will return, just the bumble bees and the birdsong. Fantastic , Buona Domenica everyone!
Panorami mozzafiato tornano a La Casa del Giardiniere. Dopo mesi di "silenzio di blocco" oggi ha portato attività maniacale abbattendo grandi alberi di fronte al nostro Bed and Breakfast. Un grande grazie al nostro vicino per la sua cortesia e considerazione. Ancora una volta possiamo vedere la cima del Mottarone e le montagne lontane che guardano verso la valle dell'Ossola. Come ricompensa extra speciale ora possiamo vedere la chiesa di Stropino e persino dire l'ora! Penso che domani tornerà il silenzio, solo i bombi e il canto degli uccelli. Fantastico, buona domenica a tutti!
