Golf des Iles Borromees

A well designed 18 hole course offering variety and challenge, built in a natural uncontaminated environment and situated 500meters above sea level. It’s fresh in summer and sunny in winter allowing 10 months of play, but above all it’s just a wonderful golfing experience. The views are captivating, and the air intoxicating, giving one an inner glow, a sense of peace and tranquillity. That leaves absolutely no room in the bag for, three putts, shanks or slices !

The Club’s services include a well stocked Pro-Shop, a bar and comfortable restaurant, recently refurbished, with excellent cuisine. Within the Club House you will find spacious changing rooms and showers. For hire, electric golf buggies, trolleys and golf sets. Valid pro-teachers are present to supply lessons or golf clinics on request.

Il Golf Des Iles Borromées ha un percorso che si svolge in un ambiente naturale incontaminato a circa 500 metri d’altezza; ben esposto al sole, è fresco d’estate e soleggiato in inverno. Posto in un paesaggio incantevole, il campo gode di un panorama eccezionale, dalla pianura del Ticino alle Alpi del Sempione e della Svizzera e quattro laghi pre-alpini, il Maggiore, quello di Varese, Monate e Comabbio. Il GOLF DES ILES BORROMEES è aperto tutto l’anno tranne il mese di gennaio. Il nostro giorno di chiusura è il lunedì non festivo. Da maggio a settembre compresi siamo aperti tutti i giorni

The Lake town of Stresa and Lake Maggiore

Elegant, sophisticated and a treasure trove of memories of days gone by. Stresa is rightly acknowledged as the Queen of the Lake.

Only a 10 minute drive down quiet panoramic lanes, every turn bringing a breathtaking view, or amble on foot on the many forest trails. 

In Stresa you will find the ferry terminal which operates a regular service to the enchanting Borromeo Islands, together with the many historical shore line towns and villages. There’s also an abundance of lively cafés, bars, and restaurants to suit all tastes.  For the weary golfer not wishing to stray too far for dining, there is an Osteria, in the village…which provides delicious, good value local dishes.

Solo 10 minuti di macchina percorrendo la panoramica strada statale oppure la potete raggiungere
anche camminando attraverso gli innumerevoli sentieri.
A Stresa troverete la stazione dei battelli che vi potranno condurre alle Isole Borromee e ai paesi più
vicini situati sulle sponde del lago. E' una piccola cittadina turistica vivacissima e animata da ottimi
ristoranti, bars e sale da tè.
Per coloro che praticano il golf e che dopo una giornata passata sul campo sono troppo stanchi per
andare a pranzo a stresa,il nostro piccolo paese di Stropino è dotato di un ' Osteria dove si dispensa
dell' ottimo cibo locale. 

Stresa can only be described as unique, querky even. But full of old world charm. Like stepping back in time.
