What a joy to walk on the dry moorland scrub, a carpet of springy heath beneath our feet, and never ending blue skies together with the soft caress of the warming sun.
The photo of Bess our English Setter now almost 9 months, and Buddy our Border Collie just over 4 months. They are the best of friends and a source of constant amusement. The dogs training and obedience leave much to be desired, Bess being so stubborn, but in equal measures soft and adorable. Buddy has a defiant streak, but usually buckles to a tummy tickle.
The most effective training aids we have found so far are succulent chicken bits or fresh cooked sausage. Difficult to carry in the pocket but they out performs boreing biscuits.. Deaf ears become alerted, and down right disobedience can be transformed to "attentive and eager to please" Now all these observations are today. Tomorrow who knows!!
Che gioia camminare sulla macchia asciutta delle brughiere, un tappeto di brughiera elastica sotto i nostri piedi, e infiniti cieli blu insieme alla soffice carezza del sole caldo.

La foto di Bess il nostro setter inglese ora quasi 9 mesi, e Buddy il nostro Border Collie poco più di 4 mesi. Sono i migliori amici e fonte di divertimento costante. L'addestramento e l'obbedienza dei cani lasciano molto a desiderare, essendo Bess così testardo, ma in egual misura morbido e adorabile. Buddy ha una vena di sfida, ma di solito si abbandona a un solletico di pancia.

I sussidi di allenamento più efficaci che abbiamo trovato finora sono pezzi di pollo succulenti o salsicce cotte fresche. Difficile da portare in tasca ma loro si esibiscono con i biscotti annoiati. Le orecchie sorde si allertano e in basso la disobbedienza può essere trasformata in "attenta e desiderosa di piacere". Oggi tutte queste osservazioni sono oggi. Domani chi lo sa !!

A cold wind was blowing on this Monday afternoon, but both Bess and little Buddy enjoyed playing in the fresh snow, their thick fur protects them from the freezing conditions.This is always a nice place to visit whatever time of year. It is only a few minutes drive from home and provides fantastic views of the lake all the way up to the Swiss Alps in the distance., A perfect place for a quiet picnic in the spring or the summer and a wonderful source of fresh berries in the autumn. we pick the wild damsons,wild raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. The wholesome flavours of the wild fruit are completely different to the fruit we grow in the garden and make wonderful jams and fruit cakes and puddings.for our guests.
In questo lunedì pomeriggio soffiava un vento gelido, ma sia Bess che il piccolo Buddy si sono divertiti a giocare sulla neve fresca, la loro folta pelliccia li protegge dal gelo. Questo è sempre un bel posto per visitare qualsiasi periodo dell'anno. È a pochi minuti di auto da casa e offre una fantastica vista sul lago fino alle Alpi svizzere in lontananza., Un luogo perfetto per un tranquillo picnic in primavera o in estate e una meravigliosa fonte di bacche fresche in l'autunno. scegliamo le damson selvatiche, i lamponi selvatici, le more e i mirtilli. I sapori genuini della frutta selvatica sono completamente diversi dalla frutta che coltiviamo in giardino e fanno meravigliose marmellate e torte alla frutta e budini per i nostri ospiti.
