Lake Antrona, fresh mountain air and a great place to escape the heat and have  a refreshing swim.We also had the benefit of visiting on a Monday so the circular lake walk was quiet, and so beautiful.
 Lago di Antrona, aria fresca di montagna e un luogo ideale per sfuggire al caldo e fare una nuotata rinfrescante. Abbiamo anche avuto il vantaggio di visitare su un Lunedi così il lago circolare a piedi era tranquillo, e così bello.

Sunday a leisurely day in the garden.But always work to do.With the continued high temperatures I've taken to watering the fruit and vegetables in the morning around 06.30 after which light weight chores can be attended to , leaving the rest of the day free for whatever comes along. This morning was particularly productive as I freshened up the tiles in a guests rooms shower with sparkling white grout, trimmed the hedges and over grown jasmine, and made an apricot and lemon cake, and all before breakfast!
 Domenica una giornata piacevole in giardino. Ma sempre lavoro da fare. Con le continue alte temperature che ho preso per irrigazione ortofrutticolo la mattina intorno 06.30 dopo di che lavori leggeri possono essere seguiti, lasciando il resto della giornata libera per ciò che viene avanti. Questa mattina è stato particolarmente produttivo come ho rinfrescato le mattonelle in una doccia ospiti camere con frizzante stucco bianco, tagliato le siepi e oltre cresciuto gelsomino, e ha fatto una torta di albicocche e limone, e tutto prima di colazione!

Despite the lack of rain the tomatoes, beans, courgettes and pumpkins are growing rapidly. The myrtles have provided the local blackbirds with a bumper crop, seriously diminishing our jam production. Thankfully we have figs in abundance so something for the plate be it sweet or savoury.

Alcuni di foto che catturano l'avvizzimento signor Pepe e alcuni dei suoi amici figa gatto in cerca di ombra nel più basso giardino.

Nonostante la mancanza di pioggia i pomodori, fagioli, zucchine e zucche sono in rapida crescita. I mirti hanno fornito i merli locali con un raccolto eccezionale, diminuendo gravemente la nostra produzione di marmellata. Per fortuna abbiamo fichi in abbondanza quindi qualcosa per il piatto sia dolce o salato.
